Weeks 1-2:
Insects & Butterflies (April 1-12)
Weekly Focus: Letter G, Purple, Jugar, Sign "Play", Square
We will learn about different kinds of insects, especially butterflies, as we learn about their life cycles and what makes each of them unique!
Weeks 3-4:
Earth Day, Space, and Recycling (April 15-26)
Weekly Focus: Letters O & L, Green, Jugar, Sign "Play", Triangle
As we prepare to celebrate Earth Day, we will learn about the planets and the solar system, as well as about our planet and how we can keep our planet healthy!
Week 5:
Opposites (April 29- May 3)
Weekly Focus: Letters O & L, Green, Jugar, Sign "Play", Triangle
We will learn about opposites. What does it mean for two things to be opposites?
Our Programs:
Hippos- Ages 6wks-12mo
Owls- 12mo-2yrs
Giraffes- 2yrs
Elephants- 2-3 years (or until potty trained after 3)
Monkeys- 3-5 years (must be potty trained)
Lions- 4-5 years (must be potty trained)
Curriculum:
Play Based Curriculum:
The Play Based Curriculum includes developmentally appropriate goals and objectives for children within six main categories of interest: Social/Emotional, Gross Motor, Fine Motor, Cognitive, Creative Expression, and Language and Literacy. We also have two Enhancements which are Circle Time activities, and Sensory Bins.
The Play Based Curriculum helps teachers interact with children in ways that promote development and learning, foster children's social competence, support children's learning through play, create rich environments for learning, and forge strong home-school connections.
